Artist Maung Aw (1945~2021), was one of the well-known and respected artists of Myanmar. He studied for many years under his great mentor master artist U Thein Han. He enjoyed creating oil paintings especially and Oil and Water Color are his favorite medium.

He has participated in many groups shows at home and abroad. His works have been exhibited in Australia, China, Korea, Hong Kong, and New York. His artworks are collected not only from Asia but also from Europe and United State.

His first solo show was entitled "A Taste of Color" at Karin Weber Gallery in Hong Kong and his second solo is "Turban Kids" at the same gallery. The third solo show "Face" is at Art -2 Gallery, Singapore.

The unique sense of color and composition in his paintings makes us amazed and he spent all of his life at his studio as a full-time artist.
